[And true to his word, he's knocking on the door quietly a short while later. But he looks exhausted, a bag of food draped at his elbow.]

[ She opens the door, looking down at the bag of food before she smiles softly. ]

Come inside. [ She moves aside. ] What have you planned for me today?

[He follows her in, takes a slow breath because he has to be okay for now.]

That depends on what you have here. ... Definitely something strong.

I may have gone a little overboard.

[ She's trying to keep it light, motioning to the alcohol on the table in the dining room. She did go way overboard. ]

Where do you want to begin?

[Okay that's a lot of liquor and he did not bring enough food. He sets the bag down and starts looking everything over before picking out a small, sort of squat bottle: tequila.]

Here's a good place. Need two smaller shot glasses.

[ She moves into the kitchen, before opening the cabinet looking through her glasses. It takes her a moment to find them, but when she finds them? She's ready. ]

Two shot glasses. [ She smiles walking back to him. ] Anything else we need?

I've got food here, and if you want to bother with limes you can get those.

[He's not really here for the act of drinking. He's here to get drunk and hopefully... well, not feel better, but to feel different than he does now at least.]

What is a lime?

[ That sounds like an earth food. ] Never mind. How well can you hold your alcohol?

They're green and sour. Usually paired with beer and heavy liquor like this.

[He sighs and starts picking some chips out of the bag he brought.] Pretty well, usually.

I don't think I have any limes. I'll pick some up next time.

[ This was going to end with both of them too drunk to walk, so it's a good thing she has plenty of water and a bedroom ready. ]

[He's ready. Just. Getting drunk with his ...partner? Boyfriend? Keith's mom. God, they didn't even get the chance to talk about what they are to each other before he left... He grabs one of the glasses and pours the tequila in. This night's just going to be the way it is.]

Do we toast? [ She crosses her arms, looking over at the drinks. ] Or just drink?

[ Awkward. She's not trying to make it too awkward but this is very awkward. ]

[He holds his for a second, then looks around the room.]

We can toast to the amount of alcohol I have purchased and to how much we plan on drinking.

[ She downs the tequila quickly, slamming the shot glass back down as she licks her lips. ]

[He knocks his back just as quick, setting his glass down a little more gently, grimacing just a minute.]

Helps cut the burn aftertaste.

I see. [ She picks up the bottle, looking it over. ] I will bring the lime next time. Does this go with other drinks? Or do you just drink it straight like this?

You can mix it with other drinks, but usually people do it straight. It's one of the stronger liquors.

[A beat while he considers his glass.] Usually when someone wants to not feel anything or forget things.
